Five thousand undeveloped acres on the Lake Huron shore between Rogers City and Alpena, with limestone cobble beaches, low ridges and no facilities beyond a car park and a vault toilet. In June the ground here carries one of the largest populations anywhere of the dwarf lake iris, a threatened flower found only around the northern Great Lakes.
