Torreya State Park

Florida State Park · Bristol, Florida

High bluffs standing 150 feet above the Apalachicola River, holding plants that have survived here since the last ice age — including the Florida torreya, one of the rarest conifers on Earth, now reduced to a few hundred wild trees. The Gregory House, an 1849 plantation home, was dismantled and moved across the river by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1935 and still stands on the bluff.

2576 Northwest Torreya Park Road, Bristol, Florida, 32321, United States

Open 8:00 a.m. until sundown, 365 days a year. The Gregory House is shown by guided tour only, on a limited daily schedule.
