The observation tower built for HemisFair '68, San Antonio's world's fair, and still the tallest thing on the skyline — a slender concrete shaft carrying an observation deck, a revolving restaurant and a bar high above downtown. From the top the whole city reads as a flat plain with the River Walk threading through it, and on a clear day the Hill Country shows to the north.
