An adults-only mineral springs resort in Desert Hot Springs, built around a natural grotto fed by an aquifer that surfaces at around 148 degrees and is cooled for bathing. It has a long reputation as the discreet desert retreat, sharpened considerably when Robert Altman used it as the setting for the spa scenes in The Player.
