Universal CityWalk Hollywood
Promenade · Universal City, California
A three-block pedestrian promenade between the Universal Studios Hollywood gates and the car parks, opened in 1993 and designed as deliberate sensory overload — oversized signage, a King Kong hanging off a building, neon stacked on neon. Crucially it sits OUTSIDE the theme park gates, so it costs nothing to walk.
