Voyageurs National Park

National Park · International Falls, Minnesota

A water-based park on the US-Canadian border in northern Minnesota, named for the French-Canadian fur traders who paddled these interconnected waterways in birch bark canoes. Over 40% of the park is water, creating a labyrinth of lakes, islands, and bays that can only be explored by boat. In winter, the frozen lakes become highways for snowmobiles, cross-country skiers, and ice fishers.

360 Hwy 11 East, International Falls, Minnesota, 55649, United States

Park open year-round. Visitor centers: May-September (Rainy Lake open limited winter hours). Water access dependent on ice conditions.
