War Memorial Stadium

A 1948 State Owned Stadium In Little Rock'S War Memorial Park, Built As A Memorial To Arkansans Killed In The Two World Wars. Long The Razorbacks' Second Home And Still Used For College And High School Football. · Little Rock, Arkansas

War Memorial Stadium opened in 1948 as a memorial to the Arkansans killed in the two world wars, and for most of the next seventy years it was where the University of Arkansas played the home games it did not play in Fayetteville - a deliberate arrangement to keep the state's team visible in its capital. That role has shrunk as Fayetteville's stadium has grown, and the building now hosts a reduced college schedule, high school championships and other events. It sits in War Memorial Park next to the Little Rock Zoo. Outside event days there is nothing to see, which is why this is a tier 3 row rather than a higher one.

1 Stadium Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas, 72205, United States

Open to the public on event days only - a reduced college football schedule in autumn, high school championship games, and occasional other events. There is no regular public tour programme and the stadium is closed between events. The surrounding War Memorial Park is open daily. Always confirm the fixture list, and whether a given Razorbacks game is here or in Fayetteville.
