Washington Oaks Gardens State Park
Florida State Park · Palm Coast, Florida
A park cut in half by A1A, with formal ornamental gardens under live oaks on the Matanzas River side and, across the road, a beach floored with great slabs of coquina rock — the only shoreline of its kind on Florida's Atlantic coast. At low tide the coquina forms pools and arches that look nothing like the rest of the state.
6400 North Oceanshore Boulevard, Palm Coast, Florida, 32137, United States
Open 8:00 a.m. until sundown, 365 days a year. The gardens and the beach have separate car parks either side of A1A.
