Watoga State Park
State Park · Marlinton, West Virginia
The largest state park in West Virginia, over ten thousand acres of Pocahontas County ridge and hollow with an eleven-acre lake and CCC-built stone cabins from the 1930s. In 2021 it was certified, together with Calvin Price State Forest and Droop Mountain Battlefield, as the first International Dark Sky Park in the state — helped by sitting inside the National Radio Quiet Zone, where there is very little to light and nobody transmitting.
Watoga Park Road, Marlinton, West Virginia, 24954, United States
