A 2.238-mile road course in the hills above Monterey, opened in 1957 and built around the Corkscrew — turns eight and eight-A, a blind left-right that drops roughly 59 feet in about 450 feet of track. It is one of the most famous corners in motorsport and the reason drivers and spectators come from everywhere.
