Woodford Reserve Distillery
National Historic Landmark · Versailles, Kentucky
A National Historic Landmark distillery on Glenn's Creek in the horse country outside Versailles, on a site where whiskey has been made since 1812, making it one of the oldest distilling locations in Kentucky. It is also one of the smallest of the major bourbon producers, and the only one using three copper pot stills in the Scottish manner rather than a continuous column still. It is the official bourbon of the Kentucky Derby, and the drive in through the stone-walled horse farms is half the reason people come.
7855 McCracken Pike, Versailles, Kentucky, 40383, United States
Open daily, generally 10 AM - 5 PM with reduced Sunday hours and seasonal variation; closed on major holidays. Tours are timed and ticketed and should be booked in advance on the distillery website.
