Woodstock
Heritage Village · Woodstock, New York
A village of about six thousand under Overlook Mountain in the eastern Catskills, an art colony since the Byrdcliffe crafts community was founded here in 1902 and a music town since Bob Dylan moved in around 1963. ⚠ THE 1969 FESTIVAL DID NOT HAPPEN HERE — it took its name from the town and was held sixty miles south-west at Bethel, which is a separate row in this database.
