Wrigley Building
Modern Architecture · Chicago, Illinois
The chewing-gum company's headquarters on the north bank of the river, built between 1921 and 1924 and clad in glazed white terra cotta that gets progressively lighter toward the top so the tower appears to glow. It was the first air-conditioned office building in Chicago, and it has been floodlit almost every night since it opened.
