Zilker Botanical Garden

Botanical Garden · Austin, Texas

Twenty-eight acres of themed gardens set into a wooded hillside inside Zilker Park, sometimes called the jewel in the heart of Austin. Streams, waterfalls and koi ponds link a Japanese garden built by Isamu Taniguchi in his seventies, a rose garden, a riparian streambed and a prehistoric garden planted entirely with species from the age of the dinosaurs — on ground where dinosaur tracks were actually found.
